CLINICAL FACULTY POSITION AT UNIVERSITY OF TOLEDO COLLEGE OF LAW—The University of Toledo College of Law seeks applications for a clinical faculty position in the Domestic Violence and Juvenile Law Clinic. This position entails instruction through a classroom component and direct supervision of students in client representation. The Domestic Violence and Juvenile Law Clinic deals with a variety of legal and policy issues affecting survivors of domestic violence, including representation to obtain protection orders, dissolution of marriage and attendant issues of custody and support. The Clinic also handles juvenile law matters including parentage, parental rights, adoptions, and guardian ad litem representation.

The law school seeks applicants with distinguished academic records who are committed to excellence in teaching, lawyering, and community engagement. The clinical programs at the University of Toledo are designed to expose students to the practical skills and professionalism required for the successful practice of law. Students are also encouraged to engage in thoughtful critique of the legal system in relation to these areas of law.

Qualified applicants should have experience handling both domestic violence and juvenile law cases or in other related areas of practice. Prior teaching experience is preferred, preferably at the post-secondary level. An Ohio bar license or eligibility for admission without examination is required. This is a nine-month long-term contract position with the potential for renewable terms after the first year.
