What is the Northwest Ohio Business Alliance MEWA Trust?
The Northwest Ohio Business Alliance is offering a Self-Funded Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangement (MEWA) for which Paramount has been contracted to provide Administrative Services. This program through the formation of the Northwest Ohio Business Alliance. MEWA Trust began operations with initial enrollment on May 1, 2022. MEWAs allow small businesses to join together for the purpose of medical benefits and serve as an alternative to the Affordable Care Act.
Who is Eligible?
Qualified firms with 1-50 employees (including solo practitioners*) that are members of the TBA are eligible to enroll(fees apply). All lawyers participating in the plan must be in good standing with the TBA prior to joining the MEWA. Firms must be located within the Paramount Ohio Commercial service area to be eligible to apply.
*Solos must be in operation for at least 2 tax years with $60,000.00 or more income per year.
